
CHARLOTTE HUISAMEN
DIRECTOR & SCREENWRITER
At AFDA I have learnt the art and craft of film making and performance. I have created some short films with some awesome people here. I have an intense background in musical theatre from before AFDA, which assisted in the short films I have created over the last few years. I have also written, directed and produced corporate videos for AGRI Mega Group and for Floraland. I do various production and AD work outside AFDA where “Red Herring” placed 2nd at The Colchester Film Festival in London. I am extremely grateful for my experience at AFDA and the people I created these productions with. Onwards and upwards!
MARTINE BEYERS
PRODUCER
I am twenty four years of age and grew up in a small town called Riviersonderend. I completed a two year diploma in Sport Science and a one year certificate in Commercial Photography. My passion for film and photography grew during my one year course at Stellenbosch Academy of Design and Photography. I am currently in my third year at AFDA, majoring in producing. In my second year I produced one of the best fourth year documentaries in the history of AFDA namely, “The Cape of Good Humor” Directed by Eric Kwazniak. During my holidays I assisted with Genevieve Hofmeyr at Moonlighting Films. I am motivated, driven and always strive to do the best I possibly can. I believe that the only way to get something you want is to go get it.


THOMAS BJøRNSTAD
CINEMATOGRAPHER
Thomas Bjørnstad was born on march 14, 1993 in Oslo, Norway. He found his passion for filmmaking In senior high school, where he attended a media and communication direction specialized in film. He went directly from senior high school to the film school Noroff in Oslo, where he studied for two years. Over the two years at Noroff he found his true passion for cinematography. In his first year at the film school he established a film production company with Torstein Bøe called Orbit Film. In the first year of Noroff, he won the best short film at the Noroff Awards (Diamond Awards) with the director Torstein Bøe.
During his studies he worked on several music videos and commercials as a focus puller and clapper loader he also have worked on some feature films as a production assistant. After he was done with Noroff he got a job offer at a Norwegian camera rental house and worked there for 7 months. During the time at the rental house he established a company (Entr Film) with focus in freelance as an 1st and 2nd AC. After five months, working as a freelancer in 1st and 2nd AC jobs, he got his first commercial as a cinematographer. He also worked as a camera operator on a short film that´s been accepted into Cannes film festival called Sjelens Speil (Souls Mirror)

GRENDON PNEMATICATOS
PRODUCTION DESIGNER
Grendon is a graduate production design student nearing the completion of his undergraduate BA degree in Motion Picture Medium at AFDA Cape Town. He has entered the local film industry as an art department assistant and scenic artist. Grendon's work ethic and passion for production design has led him to several international commercial campaigns, local feature films and, more recently, theatre stage design.

SKYE DE CHAZAL
COSTUME, MAKE-UP & STYLIST
Skye de Chazal , 21 is a third year student currently in her graduating year at AFDA. She is studying a BA in Film and Motion Pictures, majoring in Costume Make-up and Styling. Skye ,residing in the beautiful city of Cape Town has a passion for philosophy, good tea on rainy days and novels about adventures; a newbie blogger translating adventures of film, design and growing up, on a worldwide stage.
JEAN REDELINGHUYS
EDITOR & VISUAL EFFECTS ARTIST
Jean Redelinghuys is a student currently completing his third and final year of a Bachelors Degree in Motion Picture Design at AFDA Cape Town, graduating at the end of 2015. At twenty-two years of age, he has been mostly living in Somerset-West, Western Cape and only recently moved to Strand. He is double majoring in both editing and visual effects while freelancing in both these departments in the industry during any available free time. In January 2015 he was the editor and cinematographer of the daily videos for the Sailplane Grand Prix 2015 held at Worcester, South Africa. Next year he plans to apply at various visual effects companies based in and around Cape Town while working as a freelance editor.


EDWARD KING
SOUND DESIGNER & MUSIC COMPOSER
I am 21 years old and come from Bredasdorp. I have written music for documentaries, short promotional videos, stage musicals and various short films in and outside of AFDA. I wrote music for the SAFTA nominated short film, Resilience and other experimental and graduation films.
